Incredibly talented dynamic young melodic hard rockers H.E.A.T., who have already scored a top five single in their native Sweden and were voted 'Best New band of 2008' by the listeners of Swedish National Radio, have now signed to Edel's earMusic label for a worldwide record deal. 'Freedom Rock', the band's incendiary second album, released on earMusic on May 31st, distributed by Absolute via Arvato, is nothing other than a Melodic Rock masterpiece. Packed with 13 feel-good, brilliantly produced, catchy rock n' roll party anthems, including highlights such as 'Black Night', a duet with Edguy's Tobias Sammet, and the single 'Beg, Beg' Beg', which went gold in Sweden only days after release, 'Freedom Rock' is all set to catapult this vibrant young six-piece into international rock world's heady stratosphere. Just prior to release, H.E.A.T. headline a number of UK tour dates (see Gig Guide for details). H.E.A.T. who emerged in 2007 from the little known area of Upplands Vasby in Sweden, (which also spawned melodic rockers Europe several decades earlier), released their debut, self-titled album through Stormvox Records, (the label owned by internationally renowned Peter Stormare), in the Spring 2008 to massive acclaim. The reception to their debut performance at the Sweden Rock Festival in 2008 was amazing and won tens of thousands of new fans of H.E.A.T., who were subsequently invited to make their debut UK live appearance at Firefest V in October 2008, this time winning over a whole host of UK fans. Following a European tour supporting Edguy and ex-Angra singer Andre Matos, spanning one month, eight countries and 24 shows at the start of 2009, H.E.A.T. were given the opportunity to appear in the Swedish Eurovision song contest. They made it all the way to the final, and their song '1,000 Miles' was a top ten hit single, which went on to become 2009's fifth most played song on Swedish Radio. H.E.A.T.,
a vibrant young band in their early twenties have already won over
their home territory and now it's time for the rest of the world to
feel the H.E.A.T. |
