About: Moth
Circus hail from Stavanger, Norway. A groove-based rock/metal hybrid
with a sense of humour. Don't be fooled by that however, as the band
delivers a selection of songs that will get inside your mind like an
alien invasion, hook you & stay with you. Just listen to the likes
of 'Death Living' and be intrigued as the tune works its magic.
Moth Circus is in their own words best described as "Pamela Anderson masturbating at a freak show" - enough said? .... perhaps. According to Mark Appleton of Rocksector Records "That type of imaginative imagery, together with the most unusual promo kit we've ever received motivated us to look further into Moth Circus when they first approached the label in 2009. The future looks bright however and having started working with the management arm of Rocksector Records (UK) in May 2009, the band played its debut UK tour dates in September of the same year. Having proved their potential in the UK, Moth Circus signed formally to Rocksector Records to release their debut album "Sideshow Sweetheart" on July 5th 2010. This is an inventive, quirky, passionate and diverse collection of 14 songs.... at times crushingly heavy & yet melodic & sensitive. A UK tour was arranged to promote the album and 10 dates were played including the highlight of a Saturday night place at Manchester’s S.O.S. Festival, headlined by former-Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley. This band are a must to see live with their unique and groove laden rock and metal songs that get inside your head like an alien invasion and take root. |
